The Duchess is loads of fun. She’s 80 years young, is perfectly coiffed, her nails are always done and she has a nice young fiance. I think he’s 70. The Duchess has more energy than I have and can stay up all night drinking Canadian Club and isn’t any worse for wear in the morning. She has a little sign in her shower that says ‘Save Water. Shower with a friend.’

I only hope to have half the energy that she has when I’m 80. She and her fiancé, The Captain, live in Naples, Florida. We’ll be going down to visit them for a week in the beginning of April. I look forward to our annual visit with them.

I feel blessed to have a mother-in-law that’s so much fun. She’s an excellent hostess and really makes The Man and I feel like we’re on vacation.
