Good Night Noodle Menu

Last Thursday Mark and I went to check it out. We had high expectations because of the wonderful meals we’ve had at Good Morning Cafe which you can read about here. I am pleased to report that we were not disappointed. We are newbies when it comes to this style of food. While we can’t speak to its “authenticity” (and we wouldn’t care anyway), we both agreed that this food is GOOD.

When we arrived at Good Night Noodle we were pleased to see that the restaurant was full. That is always a good sign. We decided to order shrimp spring rolls, the banh mi sampler and we each had a bowl of beef pho.

Good Night Noodle Spring Rolls

The spring rolls were light and refreshing. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and served with a cashew dipping sauce and fish sauce. The fish sauce was to die for.

Good Night Noodle Banh Mi Sampler

The banh mi sampler – chicken, beef and vegetable – were good. Not my favorite. I would like to try one again, though. No worries. I was saving up for the pho.

Pho, pronounced ‘fuh’, is a richly flavored broth served with rice noodles and meat. (FYI Good Night Noodle does make a vegetarian version with tofu in a rich vegetable broth.) Good Night Noodle’s beef pho has savory, grass-fed beef meatballs in it. It comes with a side of bean sprouts, cilantro and thai basil or other seasonal organic vegetable from Good Night Noodle’s kitchen. We had jalapeno and lime on our fixins plate in addition to the herbs and sprouts.

Good Night Noodle Pho Fixins

All the fixins to customize your bowl of pho.

Here’s how I customized my bowl of pho.

Good Night Noodle - Pho

This is a medium bowl of pho. It’s huge. I added a little bit of everything to mine and drizzled a little sriracha on top.

Mark and I each had a medium bowl and we couldn’t finish it. We brought home what we couldn’t finish and Justin ate it. Suffice it to say, the portions are generous. An extra bonus is that a portion of each meal goes directly to a Cambodian village. You can learn more about Good Night Noodle’s Eat Good, Do Good, Feel Good philosophy here.

Or you can hear what owner Nancy Holzman and partner Linh Sullins have to say about it themselves in this clip-

So if you want to eat good, do good and feel good please give Good Night Noodle in Ballston Spa a try.
