Pot stickers made with pork sausage, Napa cabbage, carrots, ginger. Main course for two or as an appetizer for 4-6.

Ingredients
  • 2-3 ounces Jones Dairy Farm Original Pork Sausage
  • 1 small Napa cabbage, end trimmed and then cut in quarters lengthwise and then across into ½" pieces
  • 1 carrot, peeled and julienned
  • 1" piece of ginger, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2-3 drops sesame oil
  • ½ package square wonton wraps (the small ones)
  • vegetable oil for pan frying
  • ½ cup chicken broth or water
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet, brown the sausage.
  2. Add the cabbage, carrot, ginger and garlic.
  3. Cook till just tender over medium high heat, about 4-6 minutes.
  4. Add the sauces and sesame oil. Cook another minute.
  5. Remove from heat and let cool.
  6. Make the dumplings, folding into whatever shape you like. A simple triangle is just fine.
  7. Place on a moist tea towel or paper towel while filling them.
  8. Heat a nonstick pan over medium high heat with just enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom.
  9. Add the pot stickers.
  10. When they start to brown and stick to the bottom, add the chicken broth or water and quickly cover.
  11. Reduce heat and let steam for 3-4 minutes.
